MSHA Alliance
The MSHA Alliance is a joint initiative between the North Dakota and South Dakota chapters of AGC of America. The alliance represents the interests of members that conduct mining activities (typically sand and gravel) and those sometimes subject to MSHA jurisdiction due to activities at mine sites. Meetings can be joined via teleconference for convenience.
Th objectives of the MSHA Alliance are an emphasis on outreach and education and equitable MSHA enforcement practices. Outreach and educational programs such as the OSHA On-Site Consultation Program and the Outreach Training Program for the Construction Industry are utilized by OSHA; MSHA does not currently have similar programs.
